Soldiers of the tank brigade of the Guards garrison have started practical lessons on driving a tank.
Prior to that, they studied the tactical and technical characteristics of the tank, its design, maintenance procedures and operational features.
– You need to know the device of a combat vehicle like the back of your hand. For the successful completion of a combat mission, not only ammunition is critically important, but also the level of oil, fuel, and coolant. All this affects the combat characteristics and the ability of the tank to function in conditions of intensive operation. We not only teach soldiers how to operate the machine, but also take care of its maintenance in a combat–ready condition," explained company commander Senior Lieutenant Tungyshbai Aitmukhan.
In practical classes, the driver mechanics practiced their maneuvering skills in difficult terrain. The 6-kilometer route included both natural and artificial obstacles.
– This is my twentieth trip. In eight months, I have already traveled more than 140 km. Each route helps me improve my skills. Many thanks to our commanders," said Private Serikbol Talgat, the driver of the 1st tank Battalion of military unit 21450.
In the next stages of training, military personnel will begin to master overcoming limited passages, moving along slopes, ascents and descents.
During the training, unit commanders try to impart knowledge to the soldiers as much as possible, and the soldiers in response clearly follow the commands of their mentors during the operation and maintenance of equipment.
