A RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN ON AMENDMENTS TO THE RULES FOR THE SELECTION OF APPLICANTS FOR THE AWARD OF THE BOLASHAK SCHOLARSHIP HAS BEEN ADOPTED
On January 17, 2025, the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments to the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 11, 2008 No. 573 "On Approval of the Rules for the Selection of Applicants for the Award of the Bolashak International Scholarship and the determination of the directions of expenditure of the Bolashak International Scholarship" was adopted, which approved new Rules for the selection of applicants for the award of the Bolashak International Scholarship.
The resolution comes into effect ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication.
The new rules for the selection of candidates for the Bolashak scholarship provide for the renewal of the competitive selection process with the introduction of a screening mechanism. So, according to this innovation, candidates who do not score the required number of points will not be allowed to the next round.
In order to further improve the state apparatus, the category of "civil servants" is being introduced for training under the Master's degree program with the possibility of taking language courses.
In addition, graduates of the program have the opportunity to complete work experience in international organizations of which the Republic of Kazakhstan is a member, such as the United Nations, UNESCO, SCO and TMT.
The list of necessary documents for participation in the competitive selection has also been supplemented with a motivation letter. Candidates who have not passed the competitive selection process are granted the right to re-participate in the competition in the same calendar year.
In general, these changes are aimed at improving the Bolashak International Scholarship and training qualified personnel for various sectors of the country's economy.
