THE MAIN INDICATORS HAVE BEEN FULFILLED IN THE TURKESTAN REGION

According to the results of 2024, the positive dynamics of socio-economic development remains in the Turkestan region. According to preliminary data, the volume of gross regional product (GRP) amounted to 4.9 trillion tenge, and short—term economic growth was 111% (106.2% in the Republic of Kazakhstan). In accordance with the President's instructions to achieve 6% economic growth, all indicators were fully met in 12 months, with the exception of indicators for transport, warehousing and agriculture.
At the weekly meeting of the office, chaired by Akim of the Turkestan region Nuralkhan Kusherov, ways to increase economic growth were discussed and relevant instructions were given.
– Heads of districts, cities and heads of departments must ensure timely and high-quality implementation of the targets set for 2025. The implementation of the main indicators will be discussed at the staff meetings on a quarterly basis. A proposal has also been made to consider the disciplinary responsibility of the akims of the districts that occupy the last places in the ranking. Work on the implementation of new investment projects and the opening of production facilities needs to be intensified. It's time to move on to concrete actions," Nuralkhan Kusherov said, commenting on the akims of districts and cities with low indicators and assigning them appropriate tasks.
According to the head of the Department of Economics and Budget Planning of the Turkestan region, Kanat Kayypbek, the volume of industrial production amounted to 1.2 trillion tenge, which is 110.1% more than in the previous year. The production of the manufacturing industry amounted to 585.4 billion tenge, which is 13.1% more. The volume of agricultural products amounted to 1 trillion 83 billion tenge, which provided an increase of 106.9%. This indicator puts the region in first place in the country. The volume of investments in fixed assets amounted to 1.3 trillion tenge, which is 1.4 times more than planned. The volume of construction work amounted to 536.2 billion tenge, an increase of 1.3 times. All the targets have been met.
On behalf of the akim of the region, a plan is being developed to ensure the economic growth of districts and cities for 2025. Also, in accordance with this instruction, the regular rating assessment of socio-economic indicators continues.
At the regular weekly meeting, the report of the Deputy Chief of Staff for the implementation of Presidential instructions, Adil Bekturganov, was heard. The akim of the region gave relevant assignments to responsible managers.
