The staff meeting chaired by akim of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeev considered the issue of providing the population with drinking water.
Galym Isakov, head of the Department of energy and housing and communal services, made a report on this and shared the results of the analysis of the construction of drinking water facilities and the installation of a complex block-module.
There are 4 cities and 367 rural settlements in Zhambyl region. Of these, 9 residential areas and 54 rural settlements in Taraz and Shu are not provided with high-quality drinking water.
This year, it is planned to attract livelihoods to 5 residential areas in 37 settlements and 2 cities, restore drinking water systems in 16 settlements.
As a result, the level of drinking water supply should reach 98.8% in cities (2023 - 97.5%), 98.1% in rural settlements (2023 - 94.9%).
As of December 1, 19 rural settlements were provided with drinking water.
At the meeting, Erbol Karashukeyev received reports from the akims of districts with a low level of drinking water supply and listed projects with delays in construction. In addition, he drew attention to the complaints of residents about drinking water.
- The head of state set a specific task to provide the population with 100% drinking water by the end of 2025. This task must be completed perfectly. The time is very tight, " the governor of the region said.
Following the results of the staff meeting, the responsible persons were instructed to pay special attention to the high-quality and timely delivery of drinking water facilities with strict control over the work of contractors, and to thoroughly work out projects for the next year.
