More than 68 thousand Zhambyl residents will be employed within the framework of the regional employment map

Measures to ensure employment of the population were discussed at a staff meeting chaired by Akim of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeyev.
According to Yerkin Kelesov, head of the Department for the Coordination of Employment and Social Programs, 54.4 billion tenge has been allocated this year in the supervised areas of the department, which is an increase of 22% compared to last year.
In 2024, a plan to create 67,308 new jobs was approved as part of the regional employment map. By the end of the year, 70,056 jobs were created, the plan was fulfilled by 104.1%.
It is planned to create more than 68,000 jobs this year.
The plan has been exceeded as part of the implementation of the President's instructions to create 100 jobs per 10,000 citizens: 13 111 jobs have been created.
In 2024, 62,651 residents were covered by active employment measures, and the plan was fulfilled by 112.7%.
As part of the Labor Market Development Concept for 2024-2029, 52,776 people (112.4%) were employed last year.
16,915 people (111.3%) were employed in subsidized jobs, 67.3% of them in permanent jobs.
The speaker separately focused on the work on professional development and retraining of unemployed persons. In 2024, 1,243 Zhambyl residents were enrolled in vocational training, of which 99.3% were employed in permanent jobs. Another 2.9 thousand people studied online using the Skills web project.
This year, 1,315 people will be able to master the popular specialties of gas-electric welder, crane operator, car mechanic, poultry farmer, tractor driver, veterinarian, cosmetologist, car mechanic, graphic designer, electrician, chemical analysis laboratory technician, excavator operator.
In addition, 128 job fairs were organized with the participation of 2,524 employers. As a result, 1,314 applicants were employed for permanent jobs.
1,008 Zhambyl residents belonging to socially vulnerable segments of the population received gratuitous grants for the development of their own business totaling 1.5 billion tenge.
The speaker also spoke about social support for low-income families and people with disabilities.
The reports of akims of Taraz and districts that did not reach the planned targets were heard.
Erbol Karashukeyev instructed to monitor issues regarding the transparency of the allocation of grants and their intended purpose, strengthen monitoring by checking the availability of pension contributions, electronic workbooks, and assist the unemployed in finding permanent jobs in subsidized jobs.
