The unique Next Generation Leaders Olympiad, organized by the city Career center to support young professionals, starts in Almaty. This project is aimed at creating a talent pool and reducing youth unemployment.
The Olympiad includes three stages: online testing, a case championship, and a personal interview with a practical assignment. Young professionals learn how to write resumes, conduct a dialogue with employers, and demonstrate their professional skills.
According to the head of the Department for work with employers at the City Career Center, Akarys Terebekov, the project has already covered 15 universities in the city, and it is expected that more than 70% of participants will be able to find a job after completing all stages.
"The Next Generation Leaders Olympiad is not just a competition, but a full-fledged platform for unlocking the potential of young people. We want every graduate to be confident in their future and to be able to find a decent job," said Terebekov.
He added that these initiatives are part of a comprehensive youth support program aimed at creating new opportunities and reducing unemployment in Almaty.
