INTERNET QUALITY IMPROVED IN 149 LOCALITIES IN TURKESTAN REGION IN 2024

In Turkestan region, issues of digitalization of the region, improving the quality of the internet were discussed in the regional akimat. Akim of the region Nuralkhan Kusherov instructed the head of the responsible department and representatives of mobile operators to intensify work in this area, solve the problem of settlements with low quality of communication and internet.
- It is necessary to take systematic measures to solve urgent problems in the field of digitalization. I instruct you to do specific work to increase the speed of the internet. The quality of mobile internet is highly criticized by the population. Give a specific proposal in this direction, – said Nuralkhan Kusherov.
According to the head of the Department of digitalization, public services and archives of the Turkestan region Marat Ainabekov, there are 807 settlements in the territory of the Turkestan region. Today, 739 SNPs are covered by mobile internet. In the remaining 68 rural settlements, work is underway to provide internet communication.
This indicator increased by 2.3% compared to the same period in 2023. In 2024, the quality of the internet has improved in 149 settlements. In 2025, it is planned to improve the quality of the internet in 120 settlements. 5G will be installed in 35 territories, new base stations will be built in 48, and the internet system will be modernized in 72 settlements.
In the region, TransTeleCom JSC plans to install 18,577 electric poles in 12 districts in the coming years, and install optics in 170 SNPs. Kazakhtelecom JSC plans to install 7221 electric poles in 7 districts, install 25 base stations, and attract optics to 11 SNPs.
The Mazhilis also heard the proposals of mayors of districts, cities and representatives of telecom operators. The responsible persons were given specific instructions to intensify work on providing high-quality internet access to settlements, along important transport routes, education, culture, health care and other state institutions.
