High business and investment activity remains in Almaty. Thanks to the measures taken, today Almaty is the country's main hub for investments in the non–resource sector.
In 2024, Almaty attracted about 2 trillion tenge of investments in fixed assets. Investments in fixed assets increased by 8.2% due to a significant increase in investments in manufacturing (2.9 times growth), education (by 84.7%), transport (by 37.5%), healthcare (by 31.3%).
This growth dynamics indicates a qualitative change in the investment structure. About 90% are private investments, which grew by 6.2%.
Taking into account the intensive development of the city's economy and significant growth in local budget revenues, on December 6, 2024, Fitch Ratings confirmed Almaty's independent credit rating at BBB+, with a Stable outlook.
In general, it is planned to attract 2.2 trillion tenge to the city's economy in 2025.
