The Polytech team of Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov took the second place at the republican futsal tournament in Ekibastuz. 30 sports teams from different cities of Kazakhstan participated in the competition.
Polytech started the tournament in Group A, where they defeated the teams Arlan (Pavlodar), 1994 (Ekibastuz) and Samgau (Pavlodar), ensuring their entry into the 1/4 finals.
In the quarterfinals, the Karaganda team confidently defeated the "Nomad" from the Pavlodar region with a score of 5:2. In the semifinals, they faced a strong opponent, the Alim team from Pavlodar. This match turned out to be difficult, and the only penalty goal scored in the first half was decisive in favor of Polytech.
The final was a real challenge for the team. In a tense struggle that lasted until the last minute, Polytech lost the match with the Alim team with a score of 2:4 and took second place.
Despite losing in the final, the team showed a great performance.
