Since the beginning of the year, the program "Altyn Zhas" has been launched in Karaganda region. This is the initiative of the head of the region Yermaganbet Bulekpayev. His personal reception is often complained about by older people and cannot find a job. The program is in demand. In less than a month, about a hundred people were employed.
The program is financed from the regional budget. Its peculiarity is that employers who accept a pensioner for their team will be subsidized by half of his salary, but not more than one minimum wage (in 2025 – 85 thousand tenge). But even with this restriction, the increase in pensions is not bad, because the employer also adds so much.
One of the first to receive retired teachers were private educational centers.
Dariya Nurekina worked as a primary school teacher in a rural school for 44 years. He retired eight years ago. She moved to the city with her children from the village of Akzhal, Shet district.
"I don't want to stay at home, I want help. Seeing a message about such a program on Instagram, I decided to try it. I went to the Career Center. Since January 8, I have been working here, in the development center. I deal with children, help them prepare for school. I like everything: my favorite job, near the Central House – I come on foot, - says Dariya Nurekina.
According to the administrator of the center Aida Uteuova, up to 50 children visit them every day. Many parents prefer older, more experienced teachers, so they are happy to find a new useful employee.
According to the" Altyn Zhas " program, another pensioner – a former university teacher-has been coming to work at the center since February. She teaches English to children.
Lyazzat Asylbekova has been working as a primary school teacher in Tomar village of Karkaraly district for more than 40 years. Last year he retired and moved to Karaganda. In January, according to the program, he settled in a new mini-Center, which opened in one of the new high-rise buildings in the Southeast. Every day he comes to work from Maikudu.
- Thank you for creating the program! For pensioners, this is a good support. I love children. My health allows me to work. Do not stay at home if it is in order! If you keep locking yourself in four walls, you will quickly grow old. And here I feel needed, everyone benefits: we give our experience to young people, and you can learn something new from them, – Lyazzat Asylbekova invites her peers to participate in the program.
The pensioner wants to collect additional income and visit Kazakhstan.
- For official employment of older people, a special program "Altyn Zhas" has been developed. It is intended for residents of the region who are retired, but have a lot of strength and want to increase their income. More than 180 thousand pensioners live in Karaganda region, – said Nurzhan Syzdykov, head of the Center for labor mobility in Karaganda region. – To date, 146 employers have expressed their desire to participate in the program. 96 people were sent to work. Basically, they are primary school teachers, accountants, managers, security guards. There are no restrictions on specialties, we can find work in different specialties.
This year, it is planned to employ 400 people under the Altyn Zhas program, and in the following years their number will increase.
Applications for participation in the program are accepted at Career Centers of all cities and districts.
