On November 22, 2024, the Head of State signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on housing policy reform".

In addition, taking into account the social situation of some categories of citizens, it is envisaged to grant priority rights to eight categories with the provision of at least 70% of rental and credit housing.
- WWII veterans;
- orphaned children;
- mothers with many children and families with many children;
- persons with disabilities of groups 1 and 2;
- families with children with disabilities;
- veterans equated to WWII veterans on benefits;
- veterans of military operations on the territory of other states
- widows.

At the same time, the provisions of the Law regarding the new functions of the Reserve Bank are put into effect after six months from the date of the official publication of the Law, that is, from May 24 next year.
