Construction and major repairs of educational and healthcare facilities are underway in the Turkestan region. At the meeting, chaired by Deputy Akim of the region Beysenbai Tazhibayev, the progress of the construction of educational, health and social facilities was discussed, as well as tasks for the future were set. The deputy akim of the region instructed the responsible persons to fulfill their obligations efficiently.
– In his Message, the President set the task of modernizing 1,300 schools across the country. Within the framework of this project, 115 schools are included in the region. In accordance with the instruction, major and ongoing repairs of the buildings of these schools will be carried out in 2025-2027. This year, it is planned to carry out current and major repairs in 41 schools in the region. As you know, last year the construction of 50 schools began in the region at the expense of the budget, 26 of which were put into operation. The construction of the remaining 24 schools should be completed this year according to the approved schedule and completed by August. In addition, several more schools are planned to be built this year. All construction works must be under control and completed on time and in accordance with the requirements," Beysenbai Dauletuly said.
According to Zhandos Nurpeisov, Deputy head of the Turkestan region's education department, 1,082 secondary educational institutions operate in the region, with 554,753 students. Of these, 791 schools are located in standard buildings, 124 in adapted ones. Currently, there is a need in the region to build 24 schools for 5,800 places at the expense of the budget. It is also planned to build 17 schools with 7,200 places as part of a public-private partnership. In total, 41 schools with 12,000 places will be built in 2025-2027. Currently, 26 schools that require major repairs in 2025 are included in the renovation program, of which 3 will be repaired under the Auyl – El Besigi program, and funding from the regional budget is provided for 23 schools.
Of the 1,279 state educational institutions in the region, 43 are connected to a centralized heating system, and 1,236 are heated by autonomous boilers. Last year, 107 educational institutions were connected to natural gas. These works were carried out at the expense of saved funds in the field of education. This year, similar work will be carried out in 100 more schools, and the saved funds will also be used for these purposes.
In his next speech, Deputy head of the regional health department Nursultan Kenzhebayev said that 55 medical facilities were commissioned in the region last year. Currently, the need for 58 worn-out facilities has been identified. This year, it is planned to conduct a survey of these facilities and, depending on their importance, solve the problems of 25 facilities by purchasing ready-made buildings. A list of facilities that require new construction in the first place will also be formed and implemented. In addition, it is planned to carry out major repairs of 4 medical facilities this year.
