Shymkent is becoming one of the leading centers of medical tourism, offering high-tech specialized care to patients from all over the world. In 2024, more than 100 foreign citizens came to the city to receive medical treatment.
City Hospital No. 2 has successfully performed complex neurosurgical operations for patients from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Switzerland and Russia. All the interventions belonging to a particularly difficult category were performed thanks to the professionalism and experience of the doctors.
City Hospital No. 1 treated about 500 patients from different regions of Kazakhstan and abroad, including citizens of China, Uzbekistan and Russia. Serious operations and comprehensive medical and diagnostic examinations were carried out here.
Shymkent Diagnostic Center is actively developing medical tourism at the outpatient level. In 2024, it provided high-tech diagnostic services to more than 50 foreign patients from Central Asia, Europe, Russia and the United States. The center is equipped with modern equipment, including MRI, CT, video endoscopes and premium ultrasound devices. Due to the introduction of international ISO standards, the number of patients increases by 10-15 people annually.
The Shymkent Heart Center is also actively involved in international cooperation. In 2024, the institution performed high-tech operations for patients from the United States, Russia, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
Shymkent continues to strengthen its reputation as a center of advanced medicine, attracting more and more foreign patients.
