Astana is actively implementing a project aimed at preparing preschool children to start school. It consists of several areas that contribute to improving interaction between teachers of various educational stages and creating comfortable conditions for children to adapt to school life, the official website of the Mayor's Office of the capital reports.
As part of the project, "Educational Districts" are being created, in which kindergartens are attached to nearby schools. This helps to strengthen communication between educational institutions and helps ensure a smooth transition of children from kindergarten to school.
The key element of the program is the subproject "Pedagogikalyk SABAQTASTYQ", which is held annually. The main goal is to build an integrated system of preparing children for school, ensuring consistency between the goals and objectives of preschool education and primary school.
As part of it, a series of seminars has been organized in the capital with the participation of kindergarten teachers and primary school teachers, aimed at developing their interaction.
So, from January 20 to January 24, a single seminar "Balalards of mektepke beyimdeu" is being held in all kindergartens of the city.
The event is attended by deputy school principals for elementary grades and 4th grade teachers, who will receive first-graders in the next 2025-2026 academic year. During the seminar, pre-school children will get acquainted with future teachers, as well as demonstrate their achievements, skills and abilities acquired in kindergarten.
Primary school teachers will discuss with kindergarten teachers effective methods of adapting children to school life, taking into account their knowledge and needs.
For example, cooperation between kindergarten No. 37 "Arman" and school-lyceum No. 38 named after Alimkhan Ermekov is being strengthened in the capital.
"Our task is to create a system where kindergarten and school work as a single educational process. To achieve this goal, it is important to establish close cooperation between kindergarten teachers and primary school teachers," said Aigul Sofiyeva, head of Kindergarten No. 37 Arman.
Within the framework of the subproject, joint methodological meetings, consultations, open lessons and classes are organized, where teachers can get acquainted with the methods of education and training used in preschool institutions.
Kindergarten education includes several key areas. These are the development of cognitive abilities, the formation of elementary mathematical concepts, the development of logical thinking and speech. Important attention is also paid to introducing children to the world around them, nature and seasonal changes. Classes help children learn to count to 10, distinguish between basic colors and shapes, navigate in space, and follow simple adult instructions.
Another important element of the program is the Adaptation Days project, which is held in April and May. As part of this event, future first graders get acquainted with classrooms, teachers and the internal structure of the school, which helps to reduce stress and prepare for school life.
In addition, during the summer, "Malyshkin School" courses are organized on the basis of kindergartens, which provide children with additional training for the first grade.
An important part of the program is guided tours for future first graders, which are held at the end of the school year. Children inspect classrooms, a sports hall, a library and other school premises.
