Specialists of the laboratory of Foundations, Foundations and Seismic microdistricting of KazNIISA JSC participate in the international conference Deep Mixing2024, which takes place in Yokohama, Japan, from December 2 to December 6, 2024.
The event brought together the world's leading experts and experts from Japan, the USA, Italy, Great Britain, Germany and other countries to discuss the latest achievements and trends in the field of deep soil mixing technologies. These technologies are actively used in the construction of foundations, strengthening foundations and solving environmental problems. The theme of the conference is "Information and communication technologies and sustainable development with deep mixing".
Deep soil mixing technologies play a key role in ensuring the strength and durability of construction projects, as well as in increasing their resistance to seismic impacts and other natural disasters. Special attention at the conference is paid to the issues of slope protection and prevention of soil liquefaction in earthquake-prone regions, which is especially important for Kazakhstan. Among the discussed examples is a successful project on the use of deep mixing for pretreatment of soils in order to prevent seismic liquefaction in the port of Napier in New Zealand. This experience demonstrates the effectiveness of technologies in protecting infrastructure facilities from earthquake damage and serves as an important reference point for other regions of the world.
