Akim of Karaganda region Yermaganbet Bulekpayev continues his meetings at workplaces. This time, he came to the "Kazakhstan" mine with the heads of departments and agencies. 

The open dialogue was attended by representatives of trade unions and the management of Qarmet.

- As you know, I hold meetings with residents throughout the year, but I noticed that there are few employees of enterprises among the participants. We decided that we should come to labor collectives and discuss issues in an open dialogue, - said Yermaganbet Bulekpayev. - I understand that there are risks in your professions, and our task, the task of your management, is to minimize them. Therefore, we continue to develop measures to improve social protection, safety and working conditions.

The head of the State Labor Inspection Department, Medeu Akhmetov, reported on the work done. The head of the Department of Employment Coordination and Social Programs Toleu Mukhtar reported on measures to support and develop workers' professions.

The "Kazakhstan" mine mainly employs residents of the Shakhtinsk region, so the discussion mainly focused on the development of this region.

Yermaganbet Bolekpayev told what is being done to improve the heat supply of Shakhtinsk. Last year, funding for the repair of the CHP was increased several times. Today, the station is operating stably. To keep houses warm, 4 kilometers of heating networks have been replaced and thermal insulation has begun to be restored. In addition, preparations are underway to gasify the city of Shakhtinsk. The reconstruction of water supply networks continues. Transport infrastructure is also being improved: over the past two years, 30 km of roads between the city and neighboring villages have been repaired.

The meeting participants raised the issue of housing. Under the preferential mortgage program launched by the regional akimat together with Otbasy Bank, 116 miners and 113 metallurgists purchased apartments in the cities of Karaganda, Saran, Temirtau, Shakhtinsk, and Abay. 2 billion tenge was allocated from the regional budget for this program.

The director of the Otbasy Bank branch, Bauyrzhan Zhuasbayev, spoke about the new housing program "Nauryz Worker" for working professionals. It will start on March 17, 2025. Advantages: down payment - from 10% (housing in the finished primary market), from 20% (housing in the semi-finished and secondary market); rate - 7% for socially vulnerable categories, 9% for the rest.

The meeting also raised questions regarding landscaping, garbage collection, lighting, and improvement of playgrounds in Shakhtinsk. The mayor of the city, Murat Kydyrganbekov, immediately responded to them. In the morning, complaints were made about the lack of buses from Shakhtinsk to Karaganda. Ermaganbet Bolekpayev gave instructions on the issues that needed to be resolved.

The miners raised the issue of medical services at the Shakhtinsk hospital. Therefore, after the meeting, the regional mayor went there and inspected the medical facility.

The building, built during the Soviet era, has been in need of renovation for several years. Last year, a major renovation of the clinic began.

Now the 4th and 5th floors are ready, and the 3rd is partially ready. It is planned to be completed this year.

Hospital Director Talgat Zhuken spoke about the modernization of equipment. 

New equipment has been purchased for intensive care, operating rooms, as well as for diagnosing heart diseases.

Yermaganbet Bolekpayev instructed to solve the problem of the shortage of medical specialists.
