The regional akim Yermaganbet Bolekpayev was elected president of the Karaganda Regional Football Association. The head of the region set the tasks of helping to revive the football movement in the region and return FC Shakhtar to the Premier League.
Yermagambet Bolekpayev instructed to intensify work on the development of children's and youth football. For this, branches of FC Shakhtar will be opened on the basis of the Temirtau, Balkhash and Saran stadiums. This will allow the football club to train its athletes and select high-potential players for the club's academy.
Tournaments will be organized between children's and youth teams, as well as matches timed to important holidays for the region, such as the Days of Miners and Metallurgists. This will also help in the search for young talented football players.
Let us recall that in Karaganda it is planned to build a modern stadium in accordance with UEFA standards, a football arena for year-round training. In addition, this year it is planned to modernize the main stadium in the city center and stadiums in a number of cities in the region.
