Today's youth is trying to find a balance between innovation and the heritage of their ancestors, combining new technologies and ancient traditions. Aigerim Asylbekova plans to open the "Altyn Mura" embroidery studio with a grant from the akim of the Karaganda region to revive folk creativity.
- The idea of opening a studio arose from a love of embroidery, - says Aigerim. - For me, it is not just the process of creating beautiful things, but a way to convey a part of the soul through ornaments, to preserve traditions and introduce modern ideas into them. Embroidery allows you to combine aesthetics, history and individuality, which is especially appreciated today.
Aigerim believes that crafts are being revived, and products made with soul and body are becoming more and more valuable. Her studio will be not only a place to create unique products, but also a space for learning and inspiration. It is planned to work in several directions: hand and machine embroidery for clothes, interior decoration, customization of things, as well as conducting master classes for all those who wish.
- Through threads and fabrics, you can tell a story and create something truly unique that you will not find in mass markets, - says the girl. - I want the patterns created in our studio not only to decorate a thing, but also to become something personal for each client. These can be patterns for a wedding, as well as decorative elements for the home - pillows, tablecloths or towels.
Currently, Aigerim is working on the concept of the studio and studying the organizational processes. In the future, she plans to assemble a team of craftsmen, designers and promotion specialists to implement her ideas and create quality products that will delight people.
Aigerim will be helped to realize this dream by a grant received by the regional akim under the project "Generations of Independence". In 2024, 407 young people participated in the competition, and 25 of them became winners.
