The Temirtau Museum of Local History invites schoolchildren to take part in the interactive and educational quiz "Tauelsizdik shezhiresi", which will be held from December 6 to 27. It is dedicated to Independence Day.
"The game will provide an opportunity to learn the most important moments of the history of Kazakhstan in an interesting way through five thematic locations. Various historical epochs await the participants: from the Saks, through the Golden Horde and the Kazakh Khanate to the events of 1986 and the establishment of Kazakhstan's independence," the organizers say.
In the "Saki" location, students will be able to feel like archaeologists, exploring fragments of the Golden Man's clothes and a silver bowl from the Issyk kurgan, as well as get acquainted with the basics of runic writing and ancient hunting skills.
In the location dedicated to the Golden Horde and the Kazakh Khanate, participants will use multimedia programs to answer questions related to great historical figures. Among them are Genghis Khan, Zhoshy Khan, Kerey Khan, Zhanibek Khan. They will also be able to trace the development of history from the founding of the Golden Horde to the struggle of the Kazakhs for independence under the leadership of Kenesary Khan.
The location "Alash Orda" immerses schoolchildren in the events of the early 20th century, introducing archival documents and photographs, here they will have to figure out the role of this movement in the history of Kazakh statehood.
"Time for Change" is an excursion to December 1986, when the youth of Kazakhstan took to the streets demanding democracy. Here, participants will be able to familiarize themselves with the protocols of surveys of those who became part of these historical events, and learn more about the people who played a key role in the country's independence.
The latest location "My Kazakhstan" will test students' knowledge of geography and economics of the republic. The participants will have to assemble a map of Kazakhstan from puzzles and correctly arrange the exhibits reflecting the economic profile of each region.
