TURKESTAN: ANTI-TERRORISM COMMISSION MEETING HELD

On January 24, a regular meeting of the Anti-Terrorism Commission under the Turkestan Region Akimat was held. The meeting was attended by members of the regional anti-terrorism commission and heads of competent bodies, heads of relevant departments, and district and city akims. The important meeting was chaired and conducted by the akim of the Turkestan Region Nuralkhan Kusherov.
In accordance with the established work plan of the commission, the agenda included reports on the “Implementation of the Roadmap for the Prevention of Religious Extremism and Terrorism in the Field of Physical Culture and Sports for 2024-2026”, “On the Status of Terrorist-Vulnerable Facilities and Current Issues, Recommendations for Their Elimination”, “Issues Related to Information and Propaganda Work and Ways to Resolve Them in Order to Ensure Religious Stability, Form the Population’s Immunity Against Religious Extremism and Terrorism” and discussed issues. At the same time, issues on the executive order in the field of the TCC’s activities in 2024 were considered, reports and criticisms were heard. Tasks were given to the heads of the sector and district and city akims.
The head of the region, Nuralkhan Kusherov, emphasized the importance of the issue and said that the suggestions and opinions would be taken into account. He gave specific tasks to those responsible.
It should be noted that earlier this year, 3 meetings of the Anti-Terrorism Commission under the akimat of the Turkestan region and 22 meetings of the working group under the regional anti-terrorist committee were held under the chairmanship of the akim of the region.
