Fishery is developing rapidly in the Tolebi district. Today, the number of entrepreneurs engaged in this business in the district has reached 16. For example, last year, 4 entrepreneurs opened fish farms with their own funds and rounded up their businesses. One of them is “Sarsenov Saken” LLP. In the Kielitas rural district, a fish pond was built on 0.14 hectares of land, where 1,500 carp, 500 grass carp and 5,000 crucian carp are being raised. In addition to the fishery, the entrepreneur has completed the construction of a recreation area and offered it for use.
In addition, a special pond was built on 0.20 hectares of land owned by individual entrepreneur Ismail Abdullaev, where 4,000 carp and 6,000 carp are being raised.
Entrepreneurs from the mountainous region have also taken up the cultivation of cold-water trout. Individual entrepreneurs Zhumagali Kiyakov and Olzhas Sultankulov are raising 3,000 and 10,000 trout on their lands in the Karatobe rural district.
Belonging to the red fish family, it is highly valued and in high demand in the market. Entrepreneurs raise trout fry and feed them with special feed. The farm managers say that although this is their first time dealing with trout, they have not yet encountered any serious problems in raising small fry.
In addition, Shymkentbalyk LLP plans to build a fish pond on a 2-hectare plot in the Pervus Mayyr rural district, where they plan to raise trout and produce 300 tons of products per year.
