A patient was admitted to the Almaty Central City Clinical Hospital in critical condition.
The ambulance team delivered the patient with signs of rupture of the abdominal aortic aneurysm and retroperitoneal hematoma.
The patient's condition was very serious - the hemoglobin level and blood pressure dropped significantly, threatening his life.
An urgent computed tomography scan was performed, which confirmed the presence of a ruptured aneurysm and retroperitoneal hematoma. After a consultation of doctors, a decision was made to perform a high-tech operation - stent-graft implantation.
The operation was successful. It lasted 3 hours and was performed under local anesthesia, which is a less traumatic method compared to traditional open interventions performed under general anesthesia. Using a small access through the groin area is performed without a large incision, which significantly shortens the rehabilitation period and reduces the load on the patient's body
The operation was performed by vascular surgeons Sultan Iliev and Daulet Aldakeshev. Thanks to their professionalism and the use of advanced technology, the patient's condition has stabilized, he feels good and is preparing to go home.
This type of surgery is a high-tech and expensive procedure. The cost is about 5 million tenge, but it was performed free of charge within the framework of the guaranteed volume of free medical care (GVMC), which once again confirms the availability of quality medicine for citizens.
Previously, such a situation was treated only with the help of open surgery, characterized by a difficult postoperative period and a long recovery.
Today, the use of modern methods allows you to save lives with minimal risk to the health of patients.
