Digital Almaty 2025 will gather more than 40 thousand participants from all over the world

Today, a press conference on the upcoming Digital Almaty 2025 was held at the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. As the Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Artificial Intelligence and Innovations Gizzat Baitursynov noted, there is only one week left until the start of the VII International Forum on Digital Almaty 2025, the largest digital event of the year.
Digital Almaty 2025 is dedicated to the dynamic changes in industry and the impact of AI on the future of the global industry. AI technologies are becoming the main driver of the efficiency, safety and sustainability of production processes. More than 40 thousand people are expected to participate in the two-day digital event.
"The Digital Almaty 2025 Forum is an excellent platform for attracting BigTech companies to the international AI center. It is held annually, this is already the seventh Digital Almaty. It is important to note that Digital Almaty 2025 is being held at the expense of private investments," said Gizzat Baitursynov.
For the first time, a unique virtual exhibition is offered to all those who could not attend Digital Almaty in person. The link to the exhibition will be posted on the official website of the forum almatydigital.kz.
VII Digital Almaty offers a large-scale business program that will cover the topics of integrating AI into industrial ecosystems, economics and finance, ESG, medicine, education and cybersecurity.
Daniya Akhmetova, Managing Director of the Autonomous Cluster Fund "Innovative Technologies", shared details of the forum program.
A plenary meeting of the prime ministers of the EAEU countries will be held within the framework of the forum. This year, the forum will bring together the heads of governments of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Iran, as well as the heads of the Eurasian Economic Commission. Later, the traditional Digital Awards 2025 will be presented.
"The forum will conclude the results of the Astana Hub - AI Movement initiative, as well as the republican stage of the first Tech Challenge, where the best 24 school teams will compete for the Digital Ministry Cup. One of the main events of the forum will be the Industry AI Battle - a battle of startups in the field of AI and digital transformation. Participants will compete for a prize fund of $60,000, along with grants from forum partners," said Daniya Akhmetova.
The traditional Startup Alley will present 80 international innovative projects, which will allow thousands of guests, including investors, to learn about new ideas. In the "Industry X" zone, Kazakhstani technology companies will present successful projects implemented at large industrial enterprises. Domestic subsoil users and technology parks from the USA, Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan and Iran will tell how Artificial Intelligence is used in production processes during panel sessions.
This year, the forum will be attended by Richard Stirling (CEO Oxford Insights), Andrew Yin (founder of DeepLearning.AI), Yann Lekun (Turing Award winner), Kaan Terzioglu (CEO of VEON Group), Toju Duke (founder and CEO of Bedrock AI and Diverse AI), Nick Davydov (venture investor, founder and partner of DVC Fund), Yoram Wijngaarde (founder and CEO of Dealroom), as well as representatives of other leading companies and organizations in the field of IT and technology.
As a reminder, the organizers of Digital Almaty are the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Almaty City Administration and the Independent Cluster Fund "Innovative Technologies Park".
The forum will be held from January 31, 2025 It will be held until February 1 at the Atakent Exhibition Complex.
