A working meeting on improving methods for recording tourists and digitizing the tourism industry was held at the Digital Government Support Center under the chairmanship of Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting was attended by deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Migration Service Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Economic and Social Enterprise "Atameken" and the Kazakh Tourism NC JSC.
During the meeting, representatives of state organizations presented the possibility of obtaining subscriber data from mobile operators. That is, based on this data, it will be possible to more accurately form the interaction of tourists when receiving certain services.
The meeting also discussed the role of the National Bank and second-tier banks in providing data on payment cards, issues of migration control in relation to foreigners, and the capabilities of the eQonaq system for collecting and recording tourist flows.
At the end of the meeting, proposals were considered to improve and optimize the system for collecting data on foreign guests, tools for analyzing tourist flows, as well as to create an interdepartmental working group to resolve problematic issues.
