Age categories for athletes have changed for sports organizations

Members of the Public Council of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan are actively involved in the development of regulatory legal acts, draft laws and solving urgent issues related to the development of tourism, sports, gambling and lottery activities.
One of the main areas of work is the improvement of legislation in the field of physical culture and sports. The Public Council considered and approved the order "On approval of the rules for the formation of the composition of the national and state teams of the Republic of Kazakhstan". In particular, the list of documents required for admission to the national teams has been changed. Now accredited sports federations must submit applications certified by a notary, indicating the first and personal coaches of athletes.
Another important decision is the change in the order regulating the age of athletes in sports organizations that train sports reserves and educate highly qualified athletes.
The main changes in it:
Greco-Roman wrestling: Youth age decreased from 18-23 to 18-20 years, adults from 23 to 21 years;
Judo: adolescence age decreased from 12-18 to 13-17 years, teenagers from 18-21 to 18-20 years, youth from 21-23 to 21-22 years;
Short track: children's age decreased from 7-10 to 5-7 years, teenagers from 11-15 to 8-15 years.
Also, age restrictions were removed for children under 18 years of age studying in children's and youth sports schools, and specialized schools for the disabled.
