"The childish conscience in a person is like a bud in a grain: without a bud, grain does not grow. No matter what awaits us in the world, while people are born and die, truth remains forever..." - an excerpt from the famous story "The White Ship" by the writer Chingiz Aitmatov. It was for performing an excerpt from this work that Bogdan Bagirov, a tenth-grader of Karaganda school-gymnasium No. 95, received the Grand Prix in the III city Aitmatov textbooks.
Bogdan loves literature and actively participates in various circles. He is engaged in a theater studio and says that classes there helped him win intellectual competitions.
- This competition gave me a lot of positive emotions. Everything was held in a friendly atmosphere, at a very high level, - says the winner. - Thanks to the excerpts read by other participants, I was able to feel the meaning of Aitmatov's works.
Aitmatov's readings took place at the Al-Farabi school-gymnasium. The competition was attended by 24 tenth-graders from city schools, united by a love for Chingiz Aitmatov's work. The participants of the competition were evaluated according to several criteria: reading skills, conveying the mood of the text, originality of the approach and overall impression. In addition, all participants passed a test on Aitmatov's works. The winner was determined by the sum of the points.
To participate in the competition, Bogdan Bagirov, together with his Russian language and literature teacher Irina Nazirova, selected an excerpt from the story "The White Ship".
- I like Chingiz Aitmatov's works, they have a deep meaning, - says the teacher. - In them, the author shows the fate of children as if he had experienced them from the inside. The wisdom and beauty of Aitmatov's works teach important life values ​​- kindness, love and mutual understanding.
The jury appreciated the emotionality and depth of Bogdan's interpretation of the text in his speech.
