Akim of the region Askhat Shakharov visited Youth Sports School No. 5 "Olympus", where there are sections for children in hockey, figure skating and short track.
Last week, the heat exchanger in the Olympus hockey module broke down. In this regard, classes on ice were suspended. There was a question of buying new or repairing old equipment.
"The heat exchanger has been repaired for today. There are also plans to purchase new equipment. In case of failure of the old device, we will replace it with a new one so that the children no longer interrupt their training," explained Askhat Shakharov.
They plan to attract sponsors to purchase the heat exchanger.
It is also worth noting that adult, youth and children's hockey teams have been formed in the region. Seven teams of the Aqtobe hockey club are participating in the 2024-2025 season. At the moment, the men's team is in 7th place, the youth team is in 5th, and the children's teams occupy 2nd to 6th places. The budget for hockey in 2025 amounted to 956 million tenge.
