In the Turkestan region, it is planned to increase the volume of commercial fish farming to 20 thousand tons within 10 years by 2030. Today, the number of farms engaged in commercial fish farming in the region has reached 231. The interest of entrepreneurs in engaging in fish farming in the Tulkubas district is growing day by day. This year, 10 entrepreneurs have decided to start their own business in this direction. In total, 26 entrepreneurs are engaged in fish farming in the district.
The district governor, Askar Estibayev, got acquainted with the business of one such entrepreneur, a resident of the Mashat village, Ermakhan Duysenbekov.
An artificial lake has been dug and prepared on 1.8 hectares of land. This year, they plan to send 30 thousand carp, crucian carp and white amur fish fry there.
And the nearby "Zhety Uy" farm sent 20 thousand carp, crucian carp and white amur fish fry to the artificial lake 5 years ago, and now receives at least 5 tons of products per year. And the entrepreneur is increasing his income by building a Sak bathhouse near the lake and running a cafe.
Askar Sultanuly, who got acquainted with the future plans of the owners of the dual facility, informed them of the support provided by the state and instructed the head of the responsible department to organize a seminar in the coming days with the participation of citizens who intend to open a fish farm and have already done so, as well as qualified specialists. He also said that work in this direction should be intensified as much as possible.
