In the Zhetisay district, the number of adults, children, and teenagers interested in chess, which has become one of the brand games of the sport today, is increasing day by day.
In the chess section, which opened just last year under the Zhetisay Sports Club of the district department of culture, language development, and physical education, 4 coaches are working intensively with 56 participants in 3 locations in the district. The result is not bad either.
Recently, on January 14-26, at the Kazakhstan Youth Chess Championship held in Almaty, 6-year-old Rayana Abayovna, an athlete from the "Zhetisay Sports Club", became the national champion in classical chess.
980 chess players from all regions of the country took part in the chess competition, which expands a person's worldview, develops logical thinking skills, teaches them to quickly and accurately calculate various options while improving concentration, helps to form the will to win and cultivate other moral qualities.
Rayana, who trains under Abdugaziz Baltabayev at the "Zhetisay Sports Club", also became the champion in the G6 category at the Turkestan Regional Youth Chess Championship held in Turkestan in December last year, organized by the regional Department of Physical Culture and Sports. Now she will defend the honor of the country at the World Championship.
