The capital's municipal services continue to work in an enhanced mode around the clock. They remove dozens of cubic meters of snow from the city every day, the official website of the Astana akimat reports.
On the night of January 26 to January 27, municipal services removed more than 48 thousand cubic meters of snow from Astana in 3,688 flights.
On the morning of January 27, more than 2,300 road workers and more than 1,700 special equipment were mobilized for snow removal.
Since the beginning of the winter season, more than 4 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from the city to landfills in 321,291 heavy truck flights.
First of all, according to the rules, places with the highest traffic intensity are cleared to avoid traffic jams on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity - squares, areas near train stations, sidewalks, entrances to social facilities, etc. will be cleaned.
Cleaning of central streets, places where passenger transport routes pass, stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow polygons in the city. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, and lighting is turned on.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, follow safety rules, and not go on long trips if there is a storm warning.
