This year, several important heat supply projects will be implemented in the districts and cities of Zhetysu region. At the same time, the construction of a boiler house with a capacity of 49 Gcal/h has been launched in Taldykorgan, and a gas turbine station is being built on the basis of the "Baskuat" boiler house at the expense of private investment. As a result of the implementation of these projects, it will be possible to reduce the load on this boiler house, which currently operates year-round, by another 30%. It should be noted that previously, the load on "Baskuat" was reduced by 12% due to the modernization of heating networks in the city and the connection of facilities to quarter boiler houses, - the press service of the akim of Zhetysu region reports.
According to the regional department of energy and housing and communal services, the 2024-2025 heating season is underway in the region in regular mode. Heat is continuously supplied to 1,330 social sector facilities and 1,682 multi-storey residential buildings in the region. All heat supply enterprises and budgetary sector facilities of the region are covered with the regulatory fuel reserve. The population's need for coal in the heating season in the region is 428.5 thousand tons. To date, 98% of this required volume has been sold to the population. In preparation for the heating season, repairs have been carried out on 2 turbines, 40 boiler houses, 156 km of water pipelines and 13.5 km of heating systems, 1.1 thousand km of electrical networks and 134 transformer substations.
"This year, a number of heating system projects will be implemented. For example, it is planned to launch the first stage of a gas turbine station on the basis of the "Baskuat" boiler house in Taldykorgan, with a capacity of 26 MW of electricity and 19 Gcal/h of heat energy, by the next heating season at the expense of private investment. The project will be implemented in 5 stages. As a result of its implementation, 315 MW of electricity and 252 Gcal/h of heat energy will be produced. The project is expected to be fully completed in 2027. Also, work is underway to implement the first stage of the project to modernize and expand the existing CHP by installing a new combined heat and power plant with a capacity of 21 MW in Tekeli city at the expense of private investments. In addition, a boiler house with a capacity of 49 Gcal/h is being built in Taldykorgan city at the expense of budget funds. Its construction is planned to be completed in October 2025, that is, before the start of the next heating season,” the regional energy and heating department said in a statement.
In general, 24 main energy facilities with a total capacity of 540 Gcal/h operate in the centralized heat supply system in the region. The length of heat networks is 393 km.
Recall that on the eve of this year's heating season, toxic gas detectors were installed in 1,039 private residential buildings inhabited by families from socially vulnerable groups to ensure fire safety. Between 2022 and 2024, such sensors were installed in about 5,000 homes.
