Kazakhstan and the EEC strengthen cooperation in the field of customs digitalization and control
16.11.2024 18:12:26 1650Vice Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan E.E. Birzhanov held a meeting with member of the Board (Minister) for Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission R.V. Davydov.
During the meeting, the Parties discussed the main directions of customs cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union – modernization of checkpoints, digitalization of customs procedures, application of navigation seals, determination of the customs value of goods, adoption of control measures by state revenue authorities, etc.
The Ministry demonstrated the functionality of the "Traceability Passport", based on the results of its testing with the authorized bodies of the EAEU member states.
The parties confirmed their readiness to share best practices in the field of digitalization of customs and tax administration.
The parties agreed on the need to build up the current potential of relations within the EAEU and hold joint meetings (consultations) on an ongoing basis.
