This year, 429 graduates of colleges and universities in Karaganda region received work referrals under the “Youth Internship” project. It is planned to cover only 872 people from the budget.
Unemployed people officially registered at the Labor Mobility Center or Career Centers will be placed for youth internships. State support can be used by specialists who are no older than 35 years old and have received a diploma five years ago.
The duration of work does not exceed 12 months. The salary is at least 30 monthly calculation indices (117,960 tenge). To obtain a referral, you need to contact the Career Center at your place of residence.
One of the beneficiaries of the project is 23-year-old Khansultan Maksatov. He graduated from KarTU named after Abilkas Saginov in 2023.
“My specialty is related to mining and mineral extraction,” he says. “But after graduating from university, unfortunately, I could not find a job in my specialty. In order not to be dependent on my parents, I got a job at a grocery store. I worked there for about a year. But I always wanted to realize my profession. How many years of study have I had in vain? When I learned about the “Youth Experience” project, I decided not to miss my chance.
According to the young man, since September last year he has been working in the production and technical department of the “QazaqGaz Aimaq” JSC KF.
- I really like this place, the team is good, - says Khansultan. - If I have any questions, my senior colleagues will help. I receive my salary on time, I have all social transfers. I hope to show myself well and become part of a large team.
