Chairman of the Internal State Audit Committee of the Ministry of Finance Yerzhan Mynzhasarov held an online meeting with residents of the Almaty region, during which he presented information on positive trends in the activities of the committee, best practices of internal state audit and measures to combat corruption.
In particular, Yerzhan Tlekovich dwelled in more detail on the effectiveness of the "Electronic Internal State Audit" component based on a risk management system.
Thus, representatives of the committee conducted 465 electronic audits in the amount of 170.2 billion tenge in nine months this year and implemented 758 measures aimed at preventing corruption. As a result of the analysis of payments by state organizations, numerous cases of unfulfilled construction works in the amount of up to 11 billion tenge were identified, as well as facts of the absence of assets in the amount of 15 billion tenge and acceptance of goods that do not meet technical requirements.
The Head of the Department noted that the activities of the Internal State Audit Committee are focused on the strategic development plans of the country and reforms related to improving state audit and financial control initiated by the Head of State. He also stressed that the main goal of the committee is to prevent financial irregularities and a complete transition to remote inspections through digitalization of audit procedures.
In addition, E. Mynzhasarov spoke about the transition from post-audit to preventive audit, as well as about the new Law on Public Procurement. These measures are aimed at implementing a nationwide action plan.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Akim of Almaty region Nurzhan Kudaibergenov, Akim of the city of Konaeva Askhat Berdikhanov and chairman of the regional chamber "Atameken" Timur Bekeev, as well as representatives of business and various social sectors of the region, who exchanged views on innovations in the field of public procurement. The participants asked topical questions, to which the Chairman of the committee gave meaningful answers.
