The Nurly Zhurek social service center, which provides specialized social services in the capital in a stationary and semi-stationary setting, has been operating for many years. The center provides assistance to children with severe somatic disorders, cerebral palsy, various forms of epilepsy, chromosomal diseases, autism, severe speech disorders and mental retardation, as reported by the official website of the capital's akimat.
Those in the institution's care are divided into groups according to age, gender, and characteristics of mental and physical development. The institution provides 8 specialized social services: household, medical, educational, psychological, labor, cultural, legal and economic.
The center has a specialized room for children with autism spectrum disorders, a sensory room, a Montessori room, sewing, wood and metalworking workshops, a library, SBO rooms, computer rooms, game labyrinth complexes, exercise therapy rooms, physiotherapy, and a halotherapy (salt mine) equipped with modern technical equipment.
The territories of the buildings are equipped with modern outdoor sports equipment and anti-vandal game complexes, football, basketball and volleyball courts.
Students of the center actively participate in city, republican and international events such as Spesial Olympics, "Zhuldyz-ay", "Arman asulary". Over the past 10 years, it has won 115 gold, 90 silver and 95 bronze medals in various types of Olympic sports.
