During his working visit, Nuralkhan Kusherov got acquainted with the development direction of the cattle feedlot for 50 thousand heads being built in the Kozhatogay rural district of the city of Arys. This project is being implemented at the expense of investors and will become one of the largest complexes implemented using the Australian method in the Turkestan region.
More specifically, the construction of two large complexes will be launched on the basis of "Turkestan Agro.kz" LLP in the city of Arys - a breeding farm for growing fodder crops using the sprinkler irrigation method and a cattle breeding farm for beef cattle. The construction, feeding and grazing scheme will be developed using the Australian method.
The regional akim Nuralkhan Kusherov got acquainted with the complex works together with the city akim Kaisar Mankarayev. The head of the region noted the contribution of the cattle feedlot to the economic development of Arys and expressed confidence that this project will greatly contribute to the development of agriculture in the region.
Today, work is underway in the partnership territory. In the first stage of the project, 15 thousand heads will be purchased for the feedlot, another 10 thousand heads this year, and 25 thousand heads in 2026-2027. The partnership is also establishing a 4,710-hectare area near the feedlot to grow fodder crops for livestock using sprinkler irrigation technologies. For this purpose, it is purchasing products from the world-famous agricultural machinery manufacturer John Deere.
This step will allow the feedlot to be fully supplied with the required amount of feed. All work at the feedlot will be carried out in an automated system.
The total cost of the project is 16.2 billion tenge, and about 100 new jobs will be created.
