TURKESTAN: "ROUND TABLE" FOCUSED ON INTERETHNIC COOPERATION HELD

A round table entitled "Cooperation between ethnic groups: the role of the country in the development space" was held in Turkestan within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.
The event, jointly organized by the Turkestan Regional Public Development Department "Social Agreement" and the K.A. Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, was aimed at increasing interethnic harmony and cooperation in the country, promoting respect for the cultures and traditions of various ethnic groups, and implementing plans and projects within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan.
The next meeting was attended by the regional public development department and K. A. The leadership of the Yassawi International University, as well as representatives of the Turkestan regional prosecutor's office and the regional police department, the regional department for defense affairs, chairmen and members of structures and ethnocultural associations under the regional People's Congress, representatives of public organizations from the regions, active members of the Turkestan regional representative office of the "Assembly Youth" RCU, teachers, professors, and students participated in the "round table".
During the "round table", Nursultan Seitzhanov, Deputy Head of the Turkestan Regional Department of Public Development, emphasized the importance of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in maintaining interethnic harmony in society, while Zhanar Temirbekova, Rector of the Yassawi International University, noted the role of the international university in interethnic cooperation and uniting the Turkic-speaking world.
The event presented proposals on the role of ethnic groups in the country's development space, their influence in the economy, education, and culture, and on promoting the principle of "Law and Order" in the region. On this occasion, the head of the "Social Agreement" KMU Elmira Zhangazieva, the chairman of the Council of Elders of the regional Uzbek ethno-cultural public association Zupparkhan Chaldanov, the director of the "Center for the Study of Religious Issues" KMU Medet Khalikov, professor of the IKTU Seidulla Sadykov and representatives of law enforcement agencies made reports and exchanged opinions. The participants shared their experiences and made specific proposals for strengthening interethnic cooperation.
