During the Cleanliness Week, within the framework of the "Taza Kazakhstan" concept, the city held a mass cleaning of streets and public spaces in order to prepare for the winter season. Special attention is paid to the yard territories.
As you know, starting from January 1, 2023, on behalf of Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev, intra-house territories are being cleaned at the expense of the akimats of the districts. Before that, there was a problem of poor-quality work of KSK janitors, which residents constantly complained about. The akimat of the district did not have the funds for this work. In addition, a legal vacuum was formed when intra-house territories remained practically unattended when creating associations of property owners and simple partnerships.
Today, the situation has changed for the better. Now contractors responsible for the cleanliness of streets, parks and courtyards are strictly responsible for improper performance of their duties. As Mayor of Bostandyk district Sanjar Alin noted, a feedback system is used to control the quality of cleaning through the chairmen of the AXIS and KSK, as well as with residents of the district through messengers.
"If contractors do not fulfill their obligations, we respond promptly. First, we fine the head of the site, then the organization itself. If the situation does not improve, we terminate the contract through the court. There is already a contractor to whom a pre–trial letter has been sent," the mayor of the district said.
In general, in the Bostandyk district, cleaning of territories is carried out on a systematic basis. Thus, Stamp Service LLP carries out cleaning and maintenance of 4 parks, 13 squares, 9 boulevards, dividing strips, public areas, embankments of the Bolshaya Almatinka and Yesentai rivers and transport interchanges with a total area of 309.7 hectares. Also, the contractor's forces are cleaning the ditch networks with a length of 13.4 km.
KGP "Almaty Tazalyk" is cleaning within the territory of the roadway area of 6 interchanges, 263 streets and driveways with a total length of 272.9 km. In addition, mechanized and manual cleaning of sidewalks with a length of 180.9 km and an area of 456,678 sq. m. is carried out. Cleaning and maintenance of irrigation ditches on 115 streets of the district with a length of 164.1 km. 7 units of special equipment and 28 road workers are involved in cleaning the irrigation system.
Eurasiyakazinvest LLP maintains 7 aboveground and 12 underground pedestrian crossings. Such contractors of the district as ABS-LD Stroy LLP, Avan Kurylys LLP, Almaty Dormechanization LLP, Senim Group Construction LLP are engaged in the maintenance of courtyards. Sanitary cleaning of 670 courtyard territories is carried out on a daily basis.
At the same time, according to the deputy head of the Almaty Municipal Infrastructure Development Department, Zhanat Zhakupbek, the daily output of equipment for street cleaning during the daytime is about 600 units and 800 road workers, 220 units of equipment and up to 250 road workers during the night shift. By the forces of 9 contractors, in addition to the State Enterprise "Almaty Tazalyk", sanitary cleaning is carried out from 2318 streets with a total length of over 2.7 thousand km. For the winter period, 841 units of equipment have been prepared for the maintenance of territories, 1,400 road workers will be involved in clearing roads and sidewalks.
