Kostanay residents continue to support the Taza Kazakhstan program, initiated in early April 2024 by the country's President K.J. Tokayev. The purpose of this initiative is to increase environmental awareness of the population and improve the state of the environment in various regions of the region.

As part of the program, the region continues to hold creative, large-scale events: educational campaigns, round tables, seminars, etc., aimed at raising environmental awareness of citizens.

Cooperation with local enterprises and public organizations plays an important role in the implementation of the program. Thus, representatives of the business community, youth, athletes and ethno-cultural associations actively participate in the events.

On June 13, 2025, in Kostanay district, the Zhanashyr Bol Public Foundation held an environmental competition for collecting aluminum cans among residents of Kostanay district.

The purpose of the competition is to draw public attention to the issues of separate waste collection, develop an ecological culture and stimulate sustainable habits among the younger generation. The participants were asked to collect as many aluminum cans as possible and deliver them to the reception point. The five people who collected the largest number of aluminum cans will receive bicycles as a gift.

The competition started in early May and ended on June 10. In total, the participants collected 150 kg of aluminum cans. Younger children showed the greatest activity, which is especially pleasing to the organizers — this indicates an increase in environmental awareness among young people.

Nauryzbek Birmagambetov, the project coordinator, emphasized: "Such initiatives play an important role in shaping a responsible attitude towards nature and involve citizens in real actions to protect the environment."

In the district of Beimbet, in the villages of Varvarinka Nikolaevka and Asenkritovka, the Clean Coast campaign was held jointly with Varvarinskoye JSC as part of the republican environmental program "Taza Kazakhstan".

The event was held by the volunteers of the district and JSC Varvarinskoye in order to popularize the ecological direction of volunteerism, to form a responsible attitude to the environment. About 60 volunteers of the district and employees of JSC Varvarinskoye actively participated in the action.

At the end of the campaign, the territory of the banks of the Ayat River, 5 km long, was cleared. And the volunteers were awarded.

As noted by the head of the Public Relations Department Anton Trukhanov, Varvarinskoye JSC: "It is important not only to gather for events like today, but also to take care of the environment in everyday life. Each of us can contribute to improving the environmental situation, and even small efforts can lead to significant results. I urge everyone to be more attentive to nature and not leave trash behind. This is our common land, and only through joint efforts will we be able to preserve it for future generations."
