Akim of Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy got acquainted with the work of business facilities during a working trip to the Kelessky district. In the village of Abai, he visited a furniture workshop.
The workshop, which began its activity in 2006, specializes in the production of furniture for the home and kitchen, providing products to the entire region. Depending on demand, the workshop produces up to 200 pieces of furniture per month. The cost of the project is 250 million tenge, and the workshop area occupies 0.15 hectares. Currently, the company employs 20 employees who receive salaries from 250 to 400 thousand tenge.
– Work is underway in the region to develop a furniture cluster. Enterprises in our region should be able to export furniture not only in Kazakhstan, but also abroad. We have all the possibilities for this," said Darkhan Satybaldy.
The governor of the region talked with the entrepreneur, listened to his suggestions and stressed the importance of increasing the number of such small enterprises. He instructed the responsible managers and the akim of the district to intensify work in this direction.
