The implementation of large-scale measures for the development of animal husbandry continues in the Turkestan region. In particular, work is actively underway to open large sites for fattening livestock.
Akim of the region Darkhan Satybaldy, during a working trip to Saryagash district, got acquainted with the activities of the feedlot of Bes Kara LLP, located in the rural district of Zhibek Zholy. A project is being implemented here to create a large feedlot and a slaughterhouse at the expense of private investments by a local entrepreneur. The cooperative plans to fatten up to 15,000 small cattle annually. The area of the feedlot is 6 hectares, and the cost of the project is 1 billion tenge. 25 permanent jobs have been created here.
The project is aimed not only at ensuring the domestic market, but also at increasing the export potential of the region. A feedlot and a slaughterhouse will allow the meat products of the region to be brought to the foreign market, increasing the efficiency of agriculture.
The head of the region noted the importance of state support in the field of agriculture and wished success in the implementation of the project. Then he visited the slaughter house of cattle and small cattle of Bes Kara LLP. This facility is capable of slaughtering up to 128 heads of cattle and 600 heads of small cattle per day. The cost of the project is 1.2 billion tenge, the area is 1 hectare. About 40 local residents will be provided with permanent jobs here.
At the end of the trip, Darkhan Satybaldy inspected the construction of the transport and logistics center of Bes Kara LLP. It is expected that the facility will be able to receive up to 300 trucks per day. The center, which costs 1.5 billion tenge, is located on an area of 5 hectares and will provide 50 people with permanent jobs.
The Governor of the region highly appreciated the scale of the project, emphasizing its importance not only for the district, but also for the development of agriculture and increasing the volume of meat products throughout the region. He instructed the responsible managers to continue to support entrepreneurship and develop this industry.
It is worth noting that the Turkestan region ranks first in the republic in terms of meat exports. The region accounts for 80% of beef exports (6,9 thousand tons) and 75% of lamb exports. In 10 months of this year, 4.7 thousand tons of mutton were exported from the region.
The governor of the region also got acquainted with the activities of the "Sunkar" LLP plant located in the district. The company, founded in 2022, is engaged in the production of wine. The cost of the project is 700 million tenge, and more than 50 people work in production.
Darkhan Satybaldy met with the head of the enterprise, listened to his suggestions and gave instructions to the akim of the district and the heads of relevant departments to develop and implement new projects in the direction of deep processing of agricultural products.
