Today, Akim of Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy, while on a working visit to Saryagash district, held a meeting with local farmers. During the conversation, topical issues and ways to solve them were discussed. After listening to each of the participants of the meeting, the head of the region noted the importance of opening a regional wholesale and retail shopping center for vegetable producers in Saryagash district.
Darkhan Satybaldy stressed the need to create conditions for processing the necessary documents, establishing direct contacts with customers of products and selling goods without intermediaries at affordable prices. He noted that such measures are especially important for farmers. The owners of the greenhouses expressed gratitude for the support from the state.
– It is necessary to pay special attention to improving labor productivity, introducing new technologies, purchasing high-quality seeds and modern equipment. I support the proposals to hold specialized seminars to share the experience of the best agricultural enterprises and create a system of consulting centers. The main task is to reduce imports and provide the region with food security," said Darkhan Amangeldievich.
The Turkestan region accounts for 70% of all greenhouses built in the country. The total area of greenhouses in the region exceeds 1,640 hectares. Last year, 150,000 tons of products were harvested, which provided more than 42% of the country's demand for vegetables.
Over the past three years, investors have mastered the technology of growing subtropical bananas and lemons in greenhouses.
Thanks to the systematic work, a standard for farm greenhouses has been developed, and more than 800 greenhouses have been certified. New rules for subsidizing greenhouses have also been approved and an agreement has been reached on direct purchases of coal from producers.
The meeting with farmers took place in the greenhouse of the farm "Zhabai Ata", located in the village of Kablanbek. The products of this greenhouse are supplied not only to the Turkestan region, but also to other cities. Local residents are provided with jobs.
