In Karaganda, new water supply networks have been laid on Turekulov and Ondasynov streets, as well as in the village of Sakhalin. The reconstruction of the water pipeline No. 6 has been completed. Other projects are being implemented to improve the water supply of residents.
Mayor of the city Meiram Kozhukhov told about further plans at a meeting of the akim of the region with residents.
– Next year we plan to start the construction of water supply networks in Novaya and Staraya Tikhonovka, on Linnaya str., Litvin, in the area of the 2nd quarter, - he said.
Work is also underway on sanitation. The construction of a storm sewer in the private sector in the area of the Oil Depot has been completed. This will solve the problem of flooding during the spring flood.
As part of the investment program, Karaganda Su is reconstructing pumping station No. 2 and sewage networks in the area of Alikhan Bokeikhan.
In 2025, it is planned to begin reconstruction of sewers No. 19 and on Sovkhoznaya Street. There is a project with a positive conclusion of the state expertise.
Meiram Kozhukhov also reported on the pace of gasification.
– To date, about 300 km of networks have been laid. Gas distribution networks have been connected to almost 10 thousand individual residential buildings, over 4 thousand technical specifications for connection for individuals have been issued. 3,139 houses were connected, including 86 families who received state assistance. 170 more families have applied for assistance in 2025, the mayor of the city said.
