In Karaganda, the renovation of the highway on Kosmonavtov Street continues. The work on laying the top layer of asphalt concrete from Bukhar-zhyrau Avenue to Kamskaya Street has been completed. Lighting poles and a granite curb are installed. Two layers of asphalt were laid from Gogol to Shturmanskaya. To expand the passage, the reconstruction of the Gogol – Cosmonauts intersection was carried out.
Among the major projects are the construction of highways on Mukanova, the continuation of University Street with access to Gapeeva and Saryarka Street, as well as the construction of main roads MKR-on "Kungei 1, 2, 3".
Akim of Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev and residents told about the work done and plans at a regular meeting with the population.
In total, more than 100 km of highways have been repaired in Karaganda this year. This made it possible to increase the share of the city's highways in good and standard condition to 79%.
– The average repair took place at 94 km. In total, the improvements affected 309 city streets, 210 driveways and access roads to social facilities, – Mayor of Karaganda Meiram Kozhukhov said. – Work continues on major repairs of roads on Pichugin – Novoselov and Chetskaya streets. Work has also begun on the construction of inter-block roads on Kamali Dyusembekov and the continuation of the highway on Buketov Street. The main works should be completed in 2025.
Next year, it is planned to carry out average repairs on 43 sections of roads.
Equally important are projects for the repair of intra-block roads and access roads. This year, more than 100,000 square meters of such roads have been repaired. According to residents, more than 27 thousand square meters of pedestrian sidewalks have been laid.
To increase the comfort and safety of citizens, more than two thousand lighting poles have been installed in the private sector and on intra-block roads.
Much attention is also paid to road safety issues. The introduction of a system of "smart traffic lights" on main highways has significantly increased the capacity of roads. The barrier fences on the 15th highway and the DSK, as well as on the Gogol overpass, have been replaced. The movement of vehicles on Alalykina Street is open.
