Kazakhstan and Germany: content on the prospects for cooperation dialogue
21.02.2025 02:44:57 649Munich, February 16, 2024 – Within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Vasilenko met with Bundestag Member of Parliament Robin Wagener (Alliance 90/Green Party), Coordinator of Public Cooperation with Central Asia of the German Foreign Ministry, Head of the Bundestag Delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, and Bundestag Member of Parliament Niels Schmid, Foreign Policy Representative of the Social Democratic Party of Germany faction.
During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of political, trade and economic cooperation, as well as the results of the second "Central Asia + Germany" summit held in Astana in September 2024.
The importance of the adoption of the Joint Declaration on Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany was highly appreciated. This document determined the further steps of the wide-ranging partnership between our countries. The results of the activities of the main platforms for bilateral interaction - the Intergovernmental Working Group, the Kazakhstan-German Business Council, and the Berlin Eurasian Club - were also reviewed. The parties discussed the next steps in further developing the strategic partnership, as well as upcoming events in bilateral and multilateral formats.
