1 gold, 2 silver medals in short track at the IX Asian Winter Games in Harbin and at the World Cup in Italy The national team athletes who won the bronze medal arrived in the capital. They were warmly welcomed at the Astana international airport by ministry representatives, relatives, fans, federation representatives and journalists.

After the victory at the Asian Games, our team immediately went to Italy and participated in the World Cup in Milan. Kazakhstani short track athletes won a bronze medal in the 5,000-meter relay. Adil Galiakhmetov, Gleb Ivchenko, Denis Nikisha and Mersaid Zhaksybayev competed in the final. This is our second prize in the 2024-2025 World Tour in short track. Previously, in December 2024, the women's team won a bronze medal at a distance of 3,000 meters.

A bright success in Milan is a continuation of the victory in Harbin. At the 9th Winter Asian Games, the Kazakhstan national team won the gold medal in the 5,000-meter relay, proving that they are the best team in the region.
