Last year, at a meeting with the medalists of the Paris Olympics, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to strengthen cooperation with international sports organizations, increase the competitiveness of our athletes, and hold world competitions in Kazakhstan. In order to implement this task, heads of prestigious international organizations are invited to our country and negotiations are underway.

Kazakhstan is systematically working to strengthen cooperation with international sports organizations. In this context, this week, the President of the United World Wrestling (UWW) organization Nenad Lalovich visited our country. This visit was one of the most important events for domestic wrestling.
Nenad Lalovich toured sports facilities in Astana and got acquainted with the infrastructure. He was also received by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

At the meeting, the Head of State said that Kazakhstan intends to further develop strategic cooperation with the United World Wrestling. Improving sports infrastructure, introducing modern methods, and organizing international competitions in our country will give impetus to the development of wrestling and raise it to the world level. Nenad Lalovic thanked the Head of State for the reception and called Kazakhstan an important partner of the UWW. He also highly appreciated the achievements of the national wrestling school and noted that our country has great potential in this sport.

Cooperation with international federations gives a new impetus to the development of Kazakhstani sports. Earlier, the President of the International Judo Federation Marius Wieser also visited Kazakhstan and met with the Head of State. As a result of the negotiations, a decision was made to open the IJF (International Judo Federation) Academy in Astana. This project is aimed at training high-class coaches and referees. In addition, our country received the right to host the World Judo Championships in 2027.

In addition, the President of the International Weightlifting Federation Muhammad Jalud Al-Shammari and the President of the International Aquatics Federation, Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia Hussein Al-Musallam also visited Kazakhstan. During the meeting with international sports leaders, the issues of establishing strict control over prohibited drugs and improving educational programs for athletes, the development of aquatic sports in our country, and the possibility of attracting Kazakhstani specialists to the World Aquatics organization were comprehensively considered.

In short, Nenad Lalovich's visit is an important step towards increasing Kazakhstan's influence in wrestling and opening up new opportunities in the international arena. In the future, such meetings will allow us to strengthen our country's sports potential, hold international competitions, and raise the skills of our athletes to a new level.
