44 specialties within the dual education system in East Kazakhstan More than 5,000 students study in TURKESTAN

In the Year of Working Professions, it is necessary to focus on training highly qualified personnel and develop practice-oriented education.
To this end, educational institutions in Almaty, Mangystau, Karaganda and East Kazakhstan regions, enterprises that are considered social partners, and representatives of the Atameken regional national chamber of entrepreneurs discussed the importance of dual education.
- Dual education is an important part of the country's sustainable development. In 2024, 4936 students graduated, 4275 of whom were employed. Training personnel under the dual education system will increase the employment rate of graduates, - said Alima Akylbek, Deputy Head of the East Kazakhstan Region Department of Education.
According to the East Kazakhstan Region Department of Education, dual education is carried out in 27 colleges in 44 specialties. That is, more than 5,000 students are studying. Approximately 448 enterprises and social partner companies participate in dual training.
- We believe that mentoring plays an important role in the development of the dual training system. Students spend 60% of their time at the practice site, - says Asset Adilkhan, Head of the Human Capital Development Department of the East Kazakhstan Chamber of Entrepreneurs.
The seminar participants shared their experience in implementing dual training and discussed methods for solving current issues in this area.
