Since the beginning of the year, state inspectors for plant quarantine have identified more than 150 violations of the law when importing quarantine products into Kazakhstan. Also, 20 facts of attempts to import quarantine products contaminated with quarantine objects were prevented, including 17 from the Russian Federation, and one from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine. In all cases, appropriate measures were taken in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Let us recall that one of the main tasks of plant quarantine is to protect the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan from the import or independent entry of quarantine objects from other states or the quarantine zone. State inspectors for plant quarantine carry out quarantine phytosanitary control and supervision over imported quarantine products, and samples are sent for laboratory examination to regional quarantine laboratories of the state institution "Republican Center for Plant Quarantine".
