The renowned writer Galym Zhailybai spoke in detail and with enthusiasm about Kenshilik, shared interesting memories of him, and recited his poems.

«The poets and writers born on the sacred land of Torgai – are great figures of Kazakh literature. At Kenshilik's 60th and 70th anniversaries, I delivered major reports. We, his younger colleagues who followed him, studied in this literary school and were nurtured by his work. Kenshilik – is a poet of the nation. A great poet. He reached such heights having lived only about 45 years. When you read any of his poems, you experience an amazing feeling, as if the soul finds peace. In childhood, we knew many of his poems by heart. He left behind such great poems as «Иманжүсіп», «Коянды жәрмеңкесі», «Біржан сал», «Сарытерек сағынышы». Therefore, I believe the great poet should be remembered as often as possible. We would be very happy if, in the future, a street in Kostanay were named after Kenshilik or his name were given to one of the schools. I am especially glad to be participating in this evening today,» – said poet Galym Zhailybai.

A lifelong friend, contemporary, and creative colleague, the renowned poet and Ybyrai scholar Serikbai Ospanuly, also shared interesting, including little-known, memories of Kenshilik with the audience and recited his poems.

Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich sent his congratulations on the occasions of my father's 50th, 60th, and 70th anniversaries. I am grateful to him for again showing great attention today. Enormous work is currently being done to develop the Torgai region. I perceive the fact that my father's 80th anniversary coincided with such positive transformations as a good sign. Immense gratitude also goes to the Akim of the region, Kumar Irgibayevich. His contribution to the development of Torgai and Arkalyk is particularly significant. This year, we truly almost turned into birds and flew into the sky, as Arkalyk's airport opened. It pleases the eye and fills the soul that such good deeds are happening. I bow my head before everyone who has gathered today for this evening,» – said Amangeldy Kenshilikuly with emotion.
